Please find below a gallery of a few of my equine client portraits.  I thought it would be nice to start taking photos of some of those equines that have entrusted me into their lives.


Some of their journeys with me have saved them from being put to sleep with a week or so to spare because all else has failed, others have had bad starts in life - taken away from their mother’s too soon causing mental and emotional scarring, ingrained pattern behaviour and rehabilitation cases, to name but a few.  Often problems are caused due to the human race thinking that a horse is born with the knowledge and ability to integrate into the human world and being able to do what we want, when we want it, and in the timescales set by us - whether that means starting with all good intentions and then, either through a lack of experience or understanding / patience, time and money, cause a loss of control, in turn inflicting the horse with their shortfalls through mental, emotional and physical damage to near destruction of the equines curiosity, spirit and soul.


Not all come from these positions.  Others have not had such issues, or have fallen into the hands of understanding open minded owners who, like myself, took a step sideways from the traditional ways of teaching / training knowing there must be a better way to create a partnership with their horse(s) that will be the envy of others.  Or simply that they have tried everything and taken advice from all but to no avail - the horse still pulls, pushes, barges, runs, rears and kicks.  To those who have made this step towards change I thank you from my heart.  With these clients we have taken steps into complete training programes to help their horses become soft, supple and responsive to requests either on a loose line or at liberty, plus fluidity under saddle building a solid partnership based on ‘Trust, Respect and Understanding’ from both horse and human, thus setting them up for their own goals whether it be as a partner on the ground, in social riding or the competitive arena.


From all of these wonderful equines, and the ones not shown too, I have learnt many lessons that I take on with me to help others.
